My #2019makenine

I’m a bit late in posting my #2019makenine, but hey! It’s never too late right? So here I am with my nine choices.

It has been quite a challenge to choose nine patterns among the oh, so many lovely ones out there. Every time I open Instagram, and see all the amazing things that you people are sewing, I’m overwhelmed. I would jump on so many new projects all at once!

My nine choices are:

1-  the Trudi turtleneck by @Wardrobebyme ( I have already made 3 of them, 2 with long sleeves, 1 without sleeves )
2- the Ogden cami by @Truebias
3- IamZebre by @Iam_patterns
4- the Biker leggings by @pattydooblog
5- the Tulip top by @Wardrobebyme01
6- the Seren dress by @tillybuttons
7- the Rosa shirt dress by @tillybuttons
8- a full circle skirt, I have already a perfect scuba fabric for this one..
9- a summer dress as I saw on Burdaeasy 1/2017 .

I hope that committing to this list will help me not to lose my head over too many side projects and help me staying on track. I already have far too many UFOs in my stash!

Being able to manage time and prioritise effectively is one of my weak points and I’m working on it. When I have a deadline I usually procrastinate and then rush and do all the work at the last moment, so I’m taking this as an exercise.

At the beginning of the year I bought myself an overlocker machine that I’m very happy about, it is a Bernina Bernette b44 ( I intend to write a blog post on it’s own about it, and give it a proper review ).

It surely jump started my new year’s sewing resolutions. I love the sturdiness, and the professional finish you get with an overlocker, and I love to wear knit garments. I feel freshly motivated, and I’m optimistic and confident that this time I will complete all the projects, and much more!

;D
